Hello Gang,

I was wondering what the safest way to use PVC primer and cement is. I have used it in the past and some of my coral was a little bummed out for a day or so. I'm sure this wasn't the safe way to do it. I was using a Home Depot set made by IPS. Do you guys soak the plumbing after using the cement and primer or do you treat it with something? Maybe you guys are using a different type of cement and primer altogether? Thanks for reading.

Primer is ment for high pressure applications (i.e. sprinkler systems). Since we don't use any "high pressure" in our systems, primer really isn't necessary. I use Kristy's Red Hot glue, wait about an hour & then go to town. Never had any problems.
