my 20 gallon glass is leaking. i am planning to get a new tank tommorrw. which is a good reason for myself to upgrade without regret. the main problem is, i have heard many cases of the tank must go through a cycle. well, in my case i wont have time for that. if i transfer my fish and coral to my new tank. are they going to die? what can i do??? i am thinking of switching to acrylic tank. is it a good chose???

it should not die..but make sure you have some new salt water on hand...with my transfer i did it in one day but did like a 25 percent water change as well

Or get yourself a Rubbermaid type tub for now. Cheap and easy way to do it for a while. Good luck.

your tank shouldn't "cycle". disrupting the sand bed might cause a small ammonia spike, but an established tank will quickly eliminate the problem. i have done many upgrades/tank swaps, no issues what so ever.
