I'm looking for a good place for salt and RO/DI water in the San Gabriel area.

Does anyone know a good place?

Also, going to need a good place to shop for corals soon too.

Check your water if you get it from PTF. I knew a guy that worked there that said Steve never changes the filters. I don't know if its true.

^

Exact reason I am looking for a new place. Read a bad review on Yelp about their RO/DI system made on 1/27/11. When I went on 1/23/11 the owner told me they were changing their RO/DI equipment...so maybe the new system isn't quite working yet.

But...I kind of want to find some place with more reliable water since we had some algae issues in the past. Eliminate one variable at least.

I go to A+ on rosemead. the guys there are really good, and they are in the middle of revising their saltwater tanks.

Why not look into making your own RODI water and mixing in the salt yourself? I'm not sure if it saves money in the long run, but at least you would know where the water came from and how often the filters have been changed.

That's cool. What about that other store on East of Baldwin on Valley, did they close down too? I haven't been there in a long time either. I remember they had some freshwater bumblebee groupers and some large show tanks.

The guy says he has the best water, it's pretty good but its .75 cents for salt and .50 for ro/di water. He also has like everything supply wise but is kind of pricey.

.50 cents for rodi is alright but .75 is pretty good for salt mixed depending on which salt he is using.
