I have had my LR completly overrun with this crap too. About 2 weeks ago i picked up 9 mexican turbo snails and they are beating the Red turf algae into submission. They literally scrape the rock bare leaving nothing behind. It'll probably take a few months but it looks like i may have finally gotten the upper hand on this situation.

I have 3 turbo dozers in my 120, they have definately reduced the algae but dont leave the rock "clean". I don't know if I just need to add more but one is already the size of a racket ball. They are always moving rocks and frags, found my benett tort on my acan when I got home today :( I'm thinking of pulling out my larger rock and spraying them clean with a pressure washer using rodi water.
