I had a couple beautiful specimens and they lasted a couple of months before they slowly lost color and fell apart over the course of 2-3 weeks. You have to keep them on a sand substrate as the bottom side of the plate is very soft and delicate. Don't place them on a rock as I did - ooopppsss.

i had one, and it was fine in my tank. gave it some misis shrimp every now and then. and yes, they must be on sand, and nothing around them, they can wander to put themselves in a happy spot.
