Salt Parameter Tests and Results

I post a blog here of the salts I am testing/tested with dates. Salinity using a refractor purchased from MD.

Get Tanked 2 Part Salt Mix
Mixture: 2 packets of 25 gallons to make 50 gallon mix in 50 gallons of water.

Date: 4/7/2008
Test Kit: Hanna Photometer

Here are my results after mixing 50 gallons.
Tested using the hanna instrument photometers. Temp using a lab grade probe.

Temp: 75.8 degree's
Salinity: 1.026
ALK/dKH: 9.8 dKH
Calcium: 450ppm
pH: 8.4
Mag: 1340 mg/L
phosphate: 0.0 ppm


So far the param's are pretty darn close to what the claims are. I'll post again after a few weeks how the corals respond.

phosphate: 0.0 ppm
