Final count 8 keepers and like 35 smalls. Come smalls, a few more years of growing and you to will taste great. But I still hurts throwing lobsters back into the ocean. Fines not worth poaching tho.

Dang any good tips on a spot close by for hoopnetting? My buddies got a dingy and i've only been out freediving 2-3 times this winter season but havn't targeted lobster.

Step 1
Buy an app for ur phone called fish calendar. It gives u the best days u will catch and times too.

It gives u tide times.
Step 2
For me have a good captan. My brother does his homework the nights b 4 to see where the bugs r crawling best. He checks all the reports.
Step 3
Another one for me. Take it wallet and empty it in to the gas tank. A trip can cost anywhere from $300 to $500 just in fuel for the truck and boat.
Step 4
Pray for luck.

Usually we drop the pots 40' to 60' out from the breakwall depending on what the depth is.
