ReefPlanet - Thanks so much for the info. Yeah the Gieseman prices are just way out of my budget.

The new tank being built for me is 72in long x 42in wide x 18in high.
So I think the 72in Maristar would be ok for the tank.

you will most likely find that you need 2 Maristars The reflectors are just not optimal for a tank that has a width over 24". Unless you plan to keep low light loving animals and mount it rediculously high.

for a 42' width you should use the full size 22" Lumenmax or full size Lumenbright reflectors. Lumenbright will have more intensity. Lumenmax will have more even spread.
