Overflow Noise!!!???

OK so I got a new overflow (CPR CS150), and man it makes so much noise, anyone have an idea on how to bring this noise level down, and sorry drilling the tank is not an option.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

where it drains down into your sump, raise that til its level with the part it overflows from your tank..via pipe

Try adding a right angle or a small durso pipe design to the drain

I cut a piece of styrofoam and placed it tightly in the cpr. Then fold a hand towel and place it over the styrofoam. Exactly what I did to my cpr overflow and its dead silent.

how much flow are u runnin thru ur overflow? also if u get a slurping noise try adjusting the air tubes that are in the stranier in ur overflow box

the Bulkhead on the overflow is 1.25" and my old overflow had a standpipe that is 3/4" I just stuck the pipe in the bulkkhead and its kinda fit and it seems to be working perfectly

Are you using Durso standpipes in your Overflows ?
