Mauls and fruit loops don't care for lots of par. Put em close to the sand. I have both and they never melt. Matter of fact my mauls grow like 12 heads a month on the regular and they are just on the sand.
Man you must be getting a bad batch. I sold my 40+ colony to LexusMan and I kept em in middle of the way light. I think they like a lot of light because I couldn't get the center all pretty like Ron. But I did get them to multiply like nothing.
