Whats your latest bloom on a new tank?

I seem to be going through a late brown algae bloom, was on the rocks and now its spread to the sand (no longer on rocks). Starting to run carbon and gfo 24/7 to help with it. Tank has been up for about 4 months now, however it wasn't a completely new setup as I transferred from a 50. Whats your experience with this?

Sounds like diatoms, I'm going through the same thing right now. I was feeding heavy before though now I've slowly trimmed down my feeding and it's starting to clear up

It is diatom, I was just wondering how late it can show up, gonna cut back on feeding a little.

Well diatoms are just a sign that something's off in your tank, usually excess nutrients...do they can show up at anytime really.
