How to wash live rock

Hi everyone, long story a friend of mine gave me about 50 to 75 lbs of live rock ( was live ) his dumb but plumbed his aquarium with copper , where he got that idea I have no clue well the rock turned light blue I wanna say , it was white . Is this rock salvageable or should I just give up and crap it.

Thanks ahead for you suggestions

If you plan on keeping anything but fish, that rock won't work. It will likely leach copper and kill inverts and coral alike.

should be cured and tested for copper for a long time in a bin with a pump and frequent water changes but will take a long time since he didn't dose the tank with copper and used copper pipe it may not be bad but should be cured for at least six month and 50% water changes done on the rock twice a week , it may be cheaper to purchase new rock so keep that in mind
