Stupid question I know, but after two years in the hobby I am finally setting up an ATO. I have an aqualifter to pull RODI into the tank from a resevoir. What/how do I ensure that my hose stays at the bottom of the resevoir? My hose wants to curl up and I am afraid it will just go to the top and suck air. Zip tie it to a rock?? Man I feel stupid. :frusty:

You can zip tie to a half filled bottle. So it'll float and fill ur tank with good RO n not gunk on the bottom….

If it's the white opaque ice maker hose in the reservoir, boil some water and place the hose in it till it softens up then take it out and pull it straight till it straightens out - but don't over pull on it, same thing for air line hose it'll straighten out in ho water.
But if its something else other than, then a rubber band to a frag plug or some other safe weight as mentioned
