My tank had cycled and I add a fish a clownfish initially. Fast forward a month I added two types of fish a cardinal and baby yellow tang. Now I check my parameters and ammonia is at a constant zero but nitrite is at .25-1ppm and nitrate at 15. My question is this normal? I am lost have I started a new mini cycle and need to let the biological media catch up? I added prime to help the fish feel comfortable.

I have a 55g tank with live rock also have mechanical filtration using active carbon inside. I am in the process of making a sump just need to do the plumbing. I am feeding 4x/day only a pinch of dry food and frozen myosin shrimp I put half a cube. None settles.
