My 45 gal tank has been cycling for 2 weeks not with 40lbs live sand and 65lbs live rock and my readings are the following
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-5
Nitrate-40

My tank has been like this for the past week but with the exception of ammonia changing from .5 to 0 but at the start of the cycle I did have my high ammonia spike so i don't how I have high nitrites but yet still have have nitrates. Should I keep waiting or can I do a 20% wc and add inverts?

Your at the end of the cycle. Let those nitrites convert to nitrates, do a water change, and you can add your cuc.

Should I just wait it out because I feel like their could be a spike later on when I start adding a bio load

So I added Dr Tim's one and only and man did it do miracles with in a matter of hrs. I went from 0 ammonia 5 nitrites and 40 nitrates to 0 ammonia 2 nitrites and 90 nitrates give or take within the first 8hrs and today I did a 20%wc and now im at 0/0/20.
