So long story short I got a screaming deal on a 120g setup bottom drilled for drain and back drilled twice for returns. After loading entire stand in bed of truck at night I closed the tailgate and it hit the return elbow and cracked the back glass. I'm an idiot, ohh well.

So any idea how much 48"x24"x3/8" glass would cost drilled? Online says about $6/sqft but doesn't give a drilled price. Whatever it ends up costing is it something that can be replaced myself when I get the glass? Or is there some crazy process I'm not aware of that bonds the glass pieces together. Do they just sit together and the band on top and bottom holds them together than you just silicon all the edges?

Please help, I'm sort of freaking out.

The risk you take doing it yourself is as much as you would have by building the tank yourself. I have built a few things but would never trust myself with something that will hold 120 gallons of water.

Professionally it might end up costing you more than you paid for the tank if you got a screaming deal.

Tank has to be torn down and rebuilt. Usually not worth dealing with unless it's a really nice tank (starphire/rimless/polished edges).

Got the tank and stand for $100, glass should be $50 plus drilling and silicon. Was hoping to spend around $100 because the tank fits perfect in my house vs. my 110 60". Is everything held together by the top and bottom bands and silicon?

Well in some calling around you can buy this glass for $50, they'll drill it at $20/hole. The next dilemma is do I keep the 110 I have (60x18x24) and pay to get that drilled ($60) or buy the new piece for this and break down the other tank and rebuild? Or third option is a 60x24x24 drilled for $150. Decisions, decisions, decisions. Any advice??

Just get the 60x24x24. Do you really want to chance 110g + on the floor??
