I haven't tried myself yet but I will. But I think 2 led bars attached to your t5 fixture would be the best Deal. Or in hood if you have a hood. Even 12 on each bar will be plenty of pop and shimmer. They're more powerful then you think. Hense the melting and burning. EBay has led chips for cheap. Those LEDs fixtures I think k are way too overloaded with LEDs in a tight concentration.

Thanks for the feedback guys. It's very helpful.

I have 3 stunner strips on my tank now but they get washed out once the t5's come on. I have heard the same thing happens to the reefbrite strips...maybe two would work.

Those ATI hybrid are beautiful but I have heard several people say they were burning out their corals when they had the light high enough to get the shimmer.

I've seen some decently priced Kessil 350 that might work but I am not sure if they are programmable?

I used to run 4 t5's and two kessil 360's over my 75. The shimmer is similar to that of a MH / t5 combo light once the t5's come on.
