I've owned both and none are really perfect. I prefer the NextReef because the nozzles rotate, so you can aim them any way you want. It's the only way I was able to get reactors in my sump.

Can I see how you set up your reactor in your sump?
I'm still torn between the nextreef vs aquamaxx.

I've owned both and none are really perfect. I prefer the NextReef because the nozzles rotate, so you can aim them any way you want. It's the only way I was able to get reactors in my sump.

I've had both nextreef and the aquamaxx reactors, both are well built, and work well. The aquamaxx kinda sucked because they didnt include a hanging bracket, but on the other hand the MR1's bracket was a pain because it attached with the screws that hold the lid. I preferred the MR1 simply because you can point the inlet/outlet where ever you need it.

Got the aquamaxx.
Nice build quality and the bracket is great.
Nozzles are adjustable now, but you have to make sure they are assembled properly or else you will have a leak.
So far I love it.
GHA slowly dying off with this + Rowaphos, lights out and some WC.
