Hey SCR,

What do you guys think is an overall good PAR reading for a frag tank were all coral LPS, SPS, and Zoas are on the same level 6.5" below the water level sitting on egg crate??

I was thinking in the 250-300 range?

I'm trying to dial in the new lights I have an ATI sunpower dimmable 8 bulb fixture dimmed down to 30 percent on 6 bulbs 4 blue plus, one fiji purple and one coral plus and 100 percent on two blue plus bulbs.

Fixture is 18" above water level.

Thanks,

Bryan

If you don't know the lighting levels the frags came from I'd shoot for about half of what you were suggesting. Too little is a lot better than too much.

50 to 150 or so is good for zoas... but they might take that much. Maybe make a lower rack and see how they do. That way you can adjust them then move them up with the rest.

hmmmm I think I'm going to shoot for 175 even all across the frag rack and see how everything does.. Anybody with similar specs to what I am working with have any input?
