Gloss,semi gloss or flat black?

From my experience gloss is not forgiving if the paint job isn't perfect . Meaning it'll show all the flaws. Then it get better as you go down to flat which is way forgiving if you goof a few times and need to spray over a spot. It'll usually blend right in.

Your preference though. If i was a master painter I think I'd try the gloss or at least a semi just because it will look nicer in the end. I had a flat black stand and it was pretty boring lol.

Good thing to think about is what else is it going to be next to, if anything, in the room. Do you want it to stand out, or kinda blend in with the rest of the furniture in the room. I personally would only go gloss or high gloss if I had access to a good spray gun. Like bvysochin said, gloss is not very forgiving with brush/roller strokes...

I went to Home Depot
Guy said only water based is semi gloss.
I also searched around only black rust-oleum is flat
Or gloss
