I did a DIY overflow out of pvc and spray painted it to match my back glass. Did I use the right paint to make it reef safe? Does any one know? Just want to be sure before I put it to use an glue all the pvc. Thanks in advance.

Yes you will be fine. Just allow the paint to cure for at least a day. I have used the same paint many times with no ill effects.

I've never seen one like that before... tank is drilled? Please explain your overflow contraption. :)
Hey Cody. It works just like a hang on overflow box. Didn't want to spend that much money for an overflow box so with the paint it was under 15 dollars. And it's not as bulky as the actual over flow box.

What happens when vacuume breaks
From what I understand it shouldnt break the syphon ones the one way check valve is installed. And with the help from the taller pvc that creates the suction gravity. I seen a few videos of people using it and duplicating a power outage and it shows no problems or syphon breaks.

Here a video of the maker.
