I've built a stand for a 66g rimless tank I picked up. I'm wondering if I need plywood on top or if it sufficient as is. If plywood do I also need foam? Or can I place high comp foam on the stand as is?

Thanks

When I made my stand I did put a 2x4 for the center and on top I added a 3/4 plywood and then 3/4 foam board from homedepot.. the stand is for a 68gal euro brace tank..

Alright I'll follow suit. I can't go down the middle, but I did buy 2 2x4s to fit on each side of the over flow. I'll add ply and foam. I'm looking for the pink stuff but can only find it in 2x2' pieces. I'm guessing its ok to buy two and cut one in half to fit.
