Black or clear silicone for Reef Tank

Planning to do a DIY 50 gal cube, was not sure to use black or clear silicone. For my freshwater tanks, i've been using clear. For saltwater, not sure since the tanks I've seen tend to have black silicone. Don't know reason.

Any recommendation on color type for reef?

I always paint a black background and get my tanks with black trim so do black silicone to match also i think its alot cleaner looking since the black silicone dosnt get discolored and have to scrub it all the time to get it clear again ive had clear and black and will never get clear again unless i go rimless in which case it would look way cleaner clear

black silicone makes the tank looks like a framed picture of living art... which is why i prefer it.
