Hey so I picked up a chiller and an in the process of plumbing it into my manifold...

I was wondering how all of you with Apex's run your chiller..

What's your programming settings?

Anyone run it to maintain temp or just for back up?

I think I'm going to go the route of using it as a back up cooling system... Ie: tank gets above 82.1 I'll use it to bring it back down...

Please share your programming

Thanks for your input and help!

Nope I trust jbj if anything I would just add a rule to turn off chiller if bellow 78. Besides with jbj u can calibrate the temp so its very accurate.

I use mine as a backup. I have a fan in the sump to control the temp.

Fan ON 78.6 - OFF 78.5
Chiller ON 78.8 - OFF 78.5

I try to keep the temp really stable using the fan since my chiller only has the increments 1 degree at a time.
