I know normally people would try to get the T5 as close to water as possible. But my tank is a frag tank with only , 8 inch depth. So is 11 inch for ATI still too close?

I would go 16 to 20 inches in a 8" tank to start. I have a 12" deep frag tank with 6 bulb and I am at 15 inches. SPS is doing fine in top half and I still have to shade some LPS on bottom. ATI cranks out the light.

I have a similar 4 bulb on my frag tank, it's a good 18" off the top of the water. Try to get someone with a par meter to come by and help you dial it in.

Some sps do well in 200 PAR and some need 500 par. But I would say a minimum of 200 for sps
