We recently began testing a Maxspect Gyre prototype in our 80-gallon shallow reef aquarium in the office and quickly realized we'd need a bigger, deeper tank to truly get a feeling of what this revolutionary device can do.

My Tank Build
#8
i need one of these but does the magnet able to stick for 1" glass/ acrylic?
The new prototype I got holds really well. I think it may hold up. It holds to my tank excellent. It still didn't come with rubber to hold it in place but I used a rubber washer to keep it in place.

Looks pretty cool but the vid says that tank is 150g not 80g shallow ?
Right, sorry for the confusion. We tried it in the office 80 gallon shallow reef and quickly realized we couldn't kick it up to full speed without causing a sandstorm. So Joe and and Robert from our staff took it to Joe's home to try in his 150.
