I am using Momentive RTV 108 silicone for a very small tank 20 x 20 x 10 (tall). After trying to assemble the side panels, I realized that the glass store cut the bottom panel a little short on the sides. I tried to keep the sides flushed with the front which caused me to create a 1/4 inch thick seam between the side panels and the bottom panel. The side panels are not sitting on top of the bottom, but are sitting side by side with the bottom panel.

Does anyone know if the 1/4 inch thick silicone seam would create problems for this size tank using RTV 108.

Any advice and guidance is greatly appreciated.

When you're making any seams. You want perfect dimensions so the seams will be strong. Weak seams will breakdown over time alot faster
