Wow. Impressive list but 5 tangs in a 180 gallon can be difficult to manage. The tilefish will have a difficult time competing for food.

lol..j/k...but it's going to be interesting to see how some of these fish do with others..such as the coris wrasse trying to find a place in the sand at night where the engineer (grow huge btw) hasn't built an mta tunnel. looks like you have a lot of bottom/sand dwellers. not saying it can't be done, just saying it's going to be interesting. wish you luck though.

That's a lot of fish and money, hope your going to QT them all prior to intro to DT...
+1 specially the blue and PBT.... They can wipe out your tank if they come down with ick and if you don't know how to deal with it.

Your making me second guess my pics here :)

I love my diamond goby and how he keeps my sand clean so wanted to get him some help with the larger tank. The engineer I like for the fact when he gets bigger he looks like an eel which I like

I think you have good picks...just that you have 7 fish listed that are all bottom dwellers so territorial disputes might be an issue.

Well done, chap...
<<high pitched english school boy accent>> Thank you kind sir.

Careful with engineer.... they get so big that they can cause rock slides by moving rock around.

Thought you were gonna take out the purple tang. With the current list, you have 3 aggressive tang and 1 mild-mannered tang, which happens to be the most expensive one. If I were you, I wouldn't take that risk and make a change.

I agree with what Darrel says.........add a group of Lyretails. They are hermaphroditic. If a dominant male perishes, the largest female of the group will often develop into a male to take his place. I have them in a few tanks and they add a great pop of color when in a group of 5 - 7. If you get them young its not possible to determine a male and they are most likely all females. But one of them will naturally morph into the male.

Also.......as much as I love the powder blue tangs it was probably a good idea to drop it off your list. They are ICH MAGNETS and .........the one I had was a major bully in the tank. ANY other fish I added after it he would literally hunt it down and chase it. And I mean HUNT it.......that fish was on a mission to find any new fish I added and chase the hell out of it.

As for your other tangs.......I suggest adding the yellow and purple as very last additions to your tank. They also get very territorial. I have had to pull purples out of tanks just so I could add other fish. Especially toward other tangs or any other fish with similar body shape.

Just my experience and opinions.............good luck!
