My name is Roel and I'm from San Diego (born and raised!). I've been on/off in the hobby for 10+ years now. I first started with a 10 gallon freshwater starter tank from Petsmart and I've had various tanks including a 300 gallon reef. I recently bought a house and I'm in the process of setting up my "permanent" tank. With Leemar closing their production line I was lucky enough to find a brand new 280 gallon 72"x30"x30" eurobraced starphire tank (thanks to Coral Collection). I wasnt too excited about the 30" height considering my old 300 was 30" tall, but beggers can't be choosers. I just got the tank on the stand and I plan on starting a build thread soon. I wanted to take the time to introduce myself since i've been active on the forums searching for deals and info.
