Here's he deal, I have a kessil a150 over my 2x2 frag tank. I love the color. I'm setting up a new frag tank, so I picked up some a360w tuna blues. I set them up over my 4' frag tank, which has already been running with a diy led fixture, and 4-t5's. It seems like the color is so dim with the 360's. The shimmer is there, I just don't see the bright blue that I'm used to. I guess I assumed I could get a 20k look out of them. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone else unhappy with their kessils?

I was reading that the new 360 color spectrum has shifted away from blue to more purple. People who really enjoyed the blue are disappointed about the change.

My issue with the 350 or 360 was to get the blue color you want you need to turn down the whites quite a bit and they lose their intensity.

I've heard nothing but bad with kessels and sps. have yet to hear someone say they grow sps well.

IMO with enough power and par on any led system you don't need to add t5s. you can add more less for the same effect. color is a different factor.

How many do you have? I went with 3 since there was a dead spot in the middle, despite them recommending 2 on a 4' tank.
I'm happy with them now

Refer to the latest thread by lurking as leds don't read the same par levels as say t5s or halides... in general brighter than the reading.
I was trying to find the tests I did on the 150 and the 350. I can only find the 150 at the moment. This is a two foot by two foot grid taken at 12 inches through air. The 350 is stronger than this but....

+1. However I have heard they are great for supplementing t5s or metal halides.

Is that with or without your multipliers?
