So let's say you have a 36x36x24 mixed reef to Sps dominated tank what or which lighting would you use? And how many module would you feel adequate? Also would you tank mount or suspended/floating canopy? Trying to say away from the DIY led/ t5 hybrid. always had T5/led setup and wouldn't mind doing the same combo again.

Nice dimensions!
I would do 2 dimmable 36" 4 bulb sunpower fixtures with 4 reefbrite led Xho strips
No canopy hanging from the ceiling

You can also just do 1 x 400W MH.. a radium on a big reflector would be nice! Or, maybe a 250W with a couple of LED strips.

10 bulbs ATI Powermodule
Not to thrilled bout buying lamps every 8-10month. Also with close to 400w, I would lean toward halides..

+1. From experience, killer fixture for that spread. Add some LED for the FSM appeal and fuggedaboutit!
Hey Omar, good to see you chime in and that you are alive and well..how's that new country that you emigrated too? Hahah

You think 1 250w would be enough? I was thinking more of 250w x 2.

Thinking about it, since a VERY generous proposal has presented it self...just gotta get the lighting and Stand figured out and I might just come back.

My vote is 2x250w or one 400w. 2 250s will give you better coverage, less hotspotting/shadowing. Or maybe 4x150w, but then the bulb cost is creeping in..

Lol, what's up? Not gonna lie, I'm loving it up here.

On the lights you can stagger the bulb purchase so that you're not having to buy all the bulbs at once. Maybe just 2-4 every 2 months or so.
