Default Skimmer - Pump retro / advice needed

    Hi all,

I have a reef Octopus Skimmer, model NW-200-6540B. I've had it for just under a year and I have to say the pump is so loud it drives me crazy. It has the older style "OPT" pump, works & skims great - just loud as heck. Working with their support department they suggested the two options below as replacements. Just wondering if anyone has experience with either and if the pricier one is worth it.

Thanks as always for any input or advice.

definitely the BB HY3000 for sure..all the OG SRO line were all powered by bubble blaster pump. Too bad you can't convert the water blaster pump to a bubble blaster, or else you try out my WB HY3000. Before committing..

Appreciate it James. Just looking for back up that it was worth the extra cash. This is going to be one expensive skimmer when all is said and done!

Bubble blaster pumps are great. I had the 5000 on my RO and it was great. My vote would be for that one
