What the benefits of using Red Sea Coral Pro SaltWater over the generic saltwater at my lfs? There is a local guy selling Red Sea for $1.00/gallon on CL.

It's more highly concentrated. Usually use for those who do not dose their tanks etc.... Cal/Alk/Mag.

Many people I know with nano tanks stick with this salt mix. I always suggest testing the water before use. RSCP has high DKH.

Its just a very high qualiyt salt.
i spoke to a rep at a meet and its very highly regulated ad precisely formulated to give you the best possible mineral content.
dosing is really about depletion. Corals pull minerals out of your water and you need to replenish them. Even with the highest grade salt mix a 10 percent water chane wont do much to replenish the depleted minerals in the water colum.
I used it for years. Currently i use scripps water but have a bucket of the pro to keep mineral diversity.
