Question,

If i am unable to remove sinularia from tank is it safe to snip it in display tank? I have some pieces getting close to powerhead and monti. I read they can release toxins if cut in tank. I dont think i can take it out to cut it.

Thanks for any advice,

Cut it with some sharp scissors in the tank. I used to cut mine all the time. Run some carbon but its probably not necessary unless your tank is rather small.

I have never run carbon in the tank, would it be comparable if after cutting do a water change?

I want to say it won't be a big deal to cut a couple frags... its just to be on the safe side I would. You can put a small amount of carbon in a mesh sock. But yeah I water change wouldn't hurt.

+1 on water change or carbon. I frag mine outside of the tank and rinse off. Leathers make me a little nervous generally so I tend to careful.
