What type of tank do you have?

Steve, what size Teco Chiller you have on your tank? I purchased a 1/3 at RAP and tested it out on my 250g clownfish system and this shit probably only dropped the tank 1 degree in 12 hours. It probably didn't help that my garage's temperature was over 96 degrees. It actually warmed up the tank. I hooked it up when my tank reached 89 and after the chiller was on it went up to 90.
Ron, I have the 1/3. This is the first chiller I have had that I needed to make so many darn adjustments. It's has some nice features, but I had to adjust several things to get it working correctly. Here are a couple of things I needed to do to get it pulling down my temps otherwise it'll constantly be one and doesn't bring down temps.
- Air circulation in the garage.
- Room temp. (pm me or give me a call if you want to know what I did to the garage)
- flow through. They recommended 30/800gph. When I put a 600-700 gph pump on it didn't pull worth anything. I had to bump it to about 1100 to get it to drop.
- changed the 5/8" tubing to 3/4"
I can now get about an 8-10 degree drop.
BTW still on for the 9th?

I have a 225g SCC Anemone Tank, 250g SCC Clownfish System, and a 325g clownfish growout system, I haven't set this one up though.
1st tank is 48L x 18W x 30H acrylic bye Clear for Life with 30g sump ampster dolphin 1/3 Current USA chiller. Two 250w MH SE Hamilton reefstars with 20k MRC MR-1 Protein Skimmer. Filter socks. This tank is now a FOWLR
2nd tank is a 18x18x18 Star phire cube tank with Tunze Reef Pack and Current USA Sundial 2 x 32w actinics and one 150w Pheonix 14k HQI and moon lights. This tank is a full blown Zoo tank with 3 perc clown and 4 reef hermits.
3rd tank is a 5.5 gallon FW with no fish and gravel and water with regular light.
Future project it to do a 180g 72x24x24 all i have to do is move out of my shoe box apt
