You might want to also consider Upland to live in, as well.
Slightly more expensive than rancho, but significantly gentrified.
Upland has a funny story of judgment to its class, as well.
If you live off of Euclid Ave, you usually live off of a numbered street as well ("I live on Avalon, off of 28th"), and as a result, the higher the number of the street, the bigger your plot of land and house, and sometimes, nicer the area.
