you're good to go. I had my system running before I got my PTO, I just wasn't getting credit for time I was running. Did they explain how the bill works to you?

    Kinda...

Explained it like Edison is my battery back up and I bank all my extra energy with then and pull from my pool/credit

Cool. take a look at the bill as well (I think it's on the 3rd page), it'll tell you what your credit is or what you owe if your system is not 100% offset. If you have questions, let me know

Can you guys give me some advice please...
Recently got a quote through SunRun (they are affiliated with Costco and solicited there) and want to see how this compares with other systems you guys have experienced.

    29 REC gen 2 290w panels
    2 arrays
    110% offset
    New power panel

    $30,500 upfront
    $9,000 tax credit
    $759 Costco Credit

I wanted >100% offset because I'm thinking I maybe using more electricity in the future and want to build credits. Unused electricity rolls over also. These numbers are for a purchase and panels are on the east and west since the south is shaded.

    Thanks!

What would the total kW be for the system? If I remember right, you want to pay $2 -$3 per kW before any credits.

So you're right on the edge of the $3 per kW but the costco credit will put you a little under. What kind of inverter are they going to use?

Looking up REC solar panels, they're made in China as well.

    Forgot what kind of inverters.
They offered LG panels initially but I was trying to steer away from Chinese made so they checked REC panels which are made in 7 countries including China. The sales rep said that rec panels are tried and true, so I went with that. I have no experience or knowledge of either brand. Are there panels that are not made in China?

I, like you, tried to stay away from chinese made panels and went with Solarworld Panels and Enphase inverters (both made in the US). It cost more but I think it'll be worth it in the long run. I would highly suggest getting another quote just to compare.
