So before I start gluing.. I wondered if this configuration is too far away from the barrels? I'm worried about it bowing. I could stack some wood up under center Tee if needed..
Also.. Should a ball valve coming off center tee be before or after the center Union going into pump?
TIA :)

Wondered if I need a union in left and right of center tee? Or is that overkill?

It won't hurt, that way you can isolate each of the mixing containers.

I would flip the unions the way you have em will be a bit difficult to remove... but looks OK to me. and yes if you can add more unions go for it :)

granted that im new to this, but i dont like using these water barrels. if i had to use them i would plumb them vertically at the bottom. correct if im wrong but the uniseal is right around the 5g mark, meaning anything lower then that seal isnt gonna come out?

at the moment im in the process of building mine and i decided to use acrylic tanks to hold the water. found two 55g 1/4 acrylic tanks for cheapish and with the lower profile im gonna build the stand to have the tanks above each other, gravity feed fresh to the mixing tank. bought a used Reeflo pump to mix the salt and plumb it directly to the sump. then have the outlet pipe connected to the manifold. with the use of switches i "should" be able to use the return pump to pump water from the sump via the outlet pipe and into the sink (thats next to the mixing station)

i have a rough sketch on paper, if you're interested, i'll take a pic and post it tomorrow.

Well, I am operational :) and feeling rather legit! Lol
Replaced one uniseal that tore on installation
Got the uniseal up top waiting for a return pump .. Installed a float valve to an auto shut off for the rodi ( works like a charm!) and changed filters / mounted my rodi unit behind station..

My son thinks I should paint fish on the stand now.. ;p
