Water change advice

So I haven't done a water change in 14-16 days due to my busy schedule. Today is my day off n was wondering how many gallons should I take out to do a water change? My tank with rock n sand is 50 gallons thanks

10% is a good rule of thumb. 2 weeks isnt to bad most of us here are lazy including myself and dont even it change for months..

5 Gallon wTer change should be good enough... Every 2 weeks...do u have a skimmer or Cheato?

Also I just filled a "50 gallon" Tank and sump and only used 35 gallons of water... Due to sand and rock

I usually base it depending on how long ago my last water change was. If I let it go for 3-4 weeks without one (it happens), I'll do a larger water change, about 25%. If it's been less than 3 weeks I'll do like 10-15%, but you should be still be ok. I've gone like 2 months before or even longer I think lol
