Plumbing question (Return line)

My return line is designed for 1/2" and return pump (Rio 1400) is a 3/4" barb. How should I go about connecting? I can't find a 3/4 slip to a 1/2 barb

Just use a 3/4 to 1/2 adapter? Or replumb in 3/4.

Or something like this. Go from 1/2 pipe to 3/4 pipe then to a 3/4 barb fitting.

Yeah. You might have to use multiple parts (reducers and couplings) to get them to fit
