Not entirely true on the hairy comment. What do the claws look like? Sharp or flat like a spoon? And is it dark blue? Could be a blue emerald crab. I've had one. Never ate anything but algae and fish food. But like most things everyone is different. If you have a five throw it in there. :)

Nastaria starfish. Not sure the name but there very common. They won't harm coral. But I think they take coroline algae off the rocks

I would get rid of it.

I found some sort of hitchhiker crab and placed in the small drain section of my sump. I had a small frostbite clownfish in there too, next day fish was gone with only half a tail at the bottom. Blaming the crab for that one. well also myself for doing a noob mistake like that

Yes. But once the population goes down you will have to supplement feed it if you decide to keep it. Also once it's in the tank for some reason the starfishes know and they will all climb the walls of your tank since they can sense their lives depend on it lol!
