Bristleworm or fireworm?

Looks a little different then the bristle worms i have. Of course since i got a melenarus wrasse i haven't really seen any in awhile . Tank used to crawl with them.

Fireworms are a type of bristleworm, and in my opinion, differentiating between the two is a myth. They are nothing more than a scavenger. If you have them, you have something for them to eat. If you remove them, you have something rotting in your system that they would have eaten.

yea it's out of water so it looks a little different. i just wanted to make 100% sure. i have a ton more of those things in my tank and just wanted to take out the bigger ones...

i removed 3 other ones that ranged 6-8 inches long. i should've taken pictures of those.
