Question on useing media bags.

Just curious if it's ok to put phosguard and carbon in the same bag. Don't really see the harm but figured I'd make sure they can be combined before i do it.

I used it in my nano like that and it worked fine. I'm pretty sure chemipure elite is used this way

I figured it would be fine. I'm just cheap and lazy and don't want to go and get another bag if i don't have to.

If you have the room it will probably be cheaper to run them in separate bags. Carbon depletes itself faster than GFO. So you can leave the GFO in longer and just replace the carbon bag.

Well I'm debating on getting rid of my filter sock. If i did that i would have room. I have a good skimmer but not sure if its a good idea.

filter socks are a highly debated topic. I use one with a purigen pack inside of the sock. I change it every 4 or 5 days
