Are my pumps ramping down too much at night?

I know surface tension can help maintain a steady and higher pH level. According to my apex my high during the day is 8.5, at night it drops to 8.0. Looking back on my pH graph that is a very consistent range. I'm pretty sure in the past it was closer to .2-.3, .5 just seems to be pushing it. A few weeks back I found my carpet nem stuck to my mp40 early in the morning before work. So I started to pay attention to my levels, pH being the only noticeable difference.

Lighting is usually the biggest factor when it comes to pH swings, especially if you are running a skimmer, but it would be a simple experiment to ramp up the pumps more one night and see if it makes a difference. 8.0 pH is not at all low, but you could also try to run a fresh air intake hose from your skimmer to the outside of the house to boost it a little more.
