hi guys, just wanting a clearer understanding.

im using seachem cupramine. the instructions say:

"use 20 drops (1ml) per 10.5g of water, wait 48 hours and repeat to reach 0.5mg/l"

for arguments sake, lets say my QT is 10.5g. does that mean the actual total dose needed to reach 0.5 is 40 drops (2ml)?
asking you to do it ever a 48 hours is to ease the fish in?

Definitely start off with half the recommended dosage. Then retest before each addition of copper. Copper doesn't evaporate and the 48hr wait time is to assure its all mixed and dissolved properly to get an accurate reading. Copper will leach into rock and other things though and out of the water column so you'll have to add copper a few times during the 2week period. Running at .3-.4 is plenty. I've heard sweet spot and it is for me is around .35

To answer your question, yes 40 drops is what it comes out to with what's you explained as for instructions. I would agree with jet, start slow 1/2 dose! GL
