I agree. Should be good for a heavily stocked 300 gallon with 50 to 100 gallon sump.
Not to mention the pump cost differences. I think the differences in skimmate are negligible. Askolls are good pumps and won't cost me $500 plus to replace.
I mean I love my ATB 840, and has ran great for 5 years with only one impeller replacement. I just want to try something new, that is more affordable, and heck I just love Marine Depot.
