Thanks.

I test today:

Calcium: 485 ppm (Redsea). Last week when I test, it dropped to 300ppm. So I have to manual dose. (Currently dosing 60ml per day)

Alk: 8.34 dkh (currently dosing 60ml per day)

Mag: 1540 ppm ( I haven't dose any mag for a while but the number still rising)
Very nice colors.
Have you measured your phosphates and nitrates lately?
Is there a number you like to target?
Do you feed your corals?

Yes, I feed sps everyday. I have no idea if they "eat" or not. The main reason is raising my nutrient level.
I measured around a month ago. I don't know exactly, but they are low.
However, I don't really care much about NO3/PO4. As long as I notice there are algae in my tank, then it good.
Look at all the turf algae I have

V I love your tank! Can I get an hour alone with it? I promise it will look the exact same with I leave. :D minus a missing polyp here or there.

Just for growth/color documentation, I recently got a tiny frag of Jf Foxflame.
I love to use these MarinePure spheres as a frag mount.

Last time when I did a little trim on my shade of fall colony, when it grow back, it doesn't keep the shape like before. It look ugly, I don't like it!

So this time I decide to do a little experiment. I trim this guy down to the root!
Let see when it grow again, will it gain the shape back?

Before:

After:

Please, wish me luck guy!

Because of the algae right? Come on, I know you guys love the algae pics! 🤣🤣🤣

I use combination of coral glue (brs gel) and putty (aquastik purple putty) to hold the sphere in place.
Be careful with the aquastik though, it will make your skimmer nuts!

I think you created a frinzy on Marine Pure spheres, I went to order some and BRS, and Dr Foster & Smith was sold out of small packages...so I got some from Amazon

I plan to cut a triangle out of the sphere, then I can place the sphere on this ledge to expand it. I will also put putty on it to mold into the rock.

I guess they should send me some free spheres to thank for the product advertising huh?!

That is what I did, I use putty plus a little coral glue to make a "stand" for the spheres. I even glued a snail's shell at the bottom to cover it!

It's time for Dec-Jan pics!!!!

(Look at the Vivid Firegarden behind, such a fast grower!)

For this guy: Nov 09 - Jan 25
This Oregon tort is definitely a slow grower!

For color/growth documentation, I recently got a frag of Pretty in Pink. Thank you Eric (Coralnerd) for a wonderful frag!

And I recently move this two frag:
This guy is glued on the overflowed!

This guy have to be moved to another place because it hasn't put any growth at all.

P/s: a message to Eric (not Coralnerd ) who got a frag of this coral a couple months ago. Is it growing in your tank man?

Well, the frag coming yesterday.

Hopefully this is the real Pink Floyd. I haven't seen a Pink Floyd (in eyes) before so I have no idea!
8 day later: (total 13 days in my tank)

I think it is happy where it's been placed! I can see the color change a bit.
Watch out Pikachu, you are now not the only yellow in my tank!
