Vortech Placement

I have a RedSea Reefer 170 and have 2 MP10s that are not wireless. Would you place them facing each other (on the side panes) or would you place them on the back pane? The tank is viewable on the side and front pane so placing on the side would obstruct the view a little.
What would you do?

I have 2 mp40's on my 50 cube and love them on the back as you don't really see them. I had them on the sides on my 75 and hated seeing them all the time.
