Was snooping around my refuge tonight and noticed these swarms of pods swimming around in every visible corner. Check it out and feel free to share your's for everyone to see.

I don't see any pods in my tank, but they are always in my filter socks whenever I change them out and my mandarin is fat and happy that I have had since april. yours looks like a party though!

I've never seen that much activity in mind. My 2 mandarins cleanup quickly. I've got a decent culture in one bucket, and another building as well.

Thought you guys would enjoy that. I always see the bigger guys swimming about the algae above those guys. I've got bristle warms down there like crazy as well.

Probable helps the fact I just dropped a small pinch of yeast in there for them to eat.

Do you just drop raw baker's yeast in there? Do you let it ferment first? How much do you put in? Id like to put more than phyto in my culture buckets.

I have a whole bunch of brewers yeast that I just add a little pitch to my 50 gallon 2 to three times a week. I got the idea from Steve Garrett as he has it on a auto feeder in his tanks.

Word to the wise when using yeast in larger amounts. lowbudget used to dose in larger amounts and his tanks thrived for many years. It wasn't until he came down with a "yeast infection" that he finally reduced his dosing significantly.
