Hi, I am helping a friend of mine build a framed glass 300 gallon (96 x 30 x 24t). It has a center overflow and I was hoping to remove it, plug the bottom holes, cut new ones on the back, and add a CPR Retrofit Overflow Box with Backing RSS24DX Extra Large from bulk reef supply. My goal is to have a Mp60 or something like that shooting across the back bottom part of the tank without the bottom half (useless half in this case, 6" of clearance to wall) blocking it.
Anyone cut glass? (2) holes for (2) 1.5" overflows and possibly the returns (2) 0.75". Tank is in Rancho Santa Fe. Will pay extra for the drive.

Thanks in advance,

imo you probably would want to go with a larger overflow. The spec said up to 300G, so its maxing out.
Im working on my tank and Im drilling 2x 2" holes for 150G, my inside overflow box will be 42" long. I had the company make it longer than the standard 35".

Have you checked if the glass on the tank is not tempered?
